The Board of Supervisors of the County of Del Norte and the governing body of all other special assessment and taxing districts, for which said Board so acts, is now meeting in regular session. Only those items that indicate a specific time will be heard at the assigned time. All other items may be taken out of sequence to accommodate the public and staff availability. Items followed with a ** indicate material attached in the agenda packet. A closed session may be held at some time during the meeting to discuss litigation and/or personnel matters. There is a 90-day statute of limitations relating to decisions rendered after a public hearing of the Board of Supervisors and a 60-day statute of limitations relating to ministerial actions of the Board of Supervisors. NOTE: If you challenge the decision of the Board of Supervisors in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in the notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Board of Supervisors at, or prior to, the public hearing. Approve and authorize the Assistant Director of Child Support Services to enter into an annual Agreement between Del Norte County Child Support Services and Charles Rafferty Investigations for local process service at a rate of $40.00 per service attempt, totaling no more than $20,000.00 per fiscal year as requested by the Assistant Director of Child Support Services.**

7. Approve and authorize the Chair to sign an Agreement with the City of Crescent City to provide emergency public works services for Harding Avenue as requested by the Director of the Community Development Department.**

Approve and authorize the Director of the Community Development Department to prepare and sign a letter authorizing the use of the Hurdygurdy Creek Bridge Replacement Project as the Related Transportation Funding needed for the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Program Application which, if approved, will fund improvements to the Blue Creek Salmon Sanctuary as requested by the Director of the Community Development Department.**

29. Van Scoyoc Associates Update (Greg Burns; Mary Hardwick, Van Scoyoc Associates)
Action: Supervisor Gitlin: Supervisor Gitlin expressed concern with the County budget and wanted to bring back the Meals on Wheels program in certain areas and increase funding in the CDD budget for possibly an additional Code Enforcement Officer. He attended the Healthcare District 2x2, attended the Memorial Day Services Ceremony, attended a viewing of the new water tank in Hiouchi by the Big Rock Community District Manager, attended the COAT meeting, participated in the Cannabis Workshop, attended the PBSP Advisory Committee meeting, attended the Annual College Scholarship Funds Ceremony and participated in numerous meetings with constituents.
Supervisor Cowan: Supervisor Cowan requested to place two items on the June 27, 2017 Agenda: 1) Discuss and direct staff to see options for making four uncontrolled intersections in Del Norte County safer which was approved by Consensus. 2) Discuss and direct County Counsel to review the legal terms referenced in a letter from Sutter Coast Hospital which was approved by consensus. She attended a meeting with representatives from Federal Highways to discuss Last Chance Grade, attended the Healthcare District 2x2, attended a meeting with the CAO to discuss constituent concerns within District 2, attended the BCRAA meeting, attended the Mental Health Board meeting, attended the City/County 2x2, participated in the Cannabis Workshop, attended a meeting with Dr. Duncan regarding Sutter Coast Hospital and attended a meeting with a TRUE North Representative.
Supervisor Howard: Attended a meeting with Senator McGuire and Assemblymen Wood regarding AB 975, attended a meeting with representatives from Federal Highways to discuss Last Chance Grade, attended a Tri-Agency meeting, participated in a discussion with the CAO, Supervisor Hemmingsen and constituents regarding watercraft use on South Beach, attended a meeting with the CAO and County Counsel regarding the USDA Tri-Agency Loan, attended a meeting with a representative from TRUE North, attended a meeting with the Director of CDD regarding flooding issues with Morrison Creek, attended the NCUAQMD meeting, attended the Natural Resources Goal Committee meeting, attended the Memorial Day Services Ceremony, attended the City/County 2x2, participated in the Cannabis Workshop, participated in Agenda review for DNSWMA and went to Washington DC to advocate concerns within Del Norte County.
Supervisor Hemmingsen: Participated in a discussion with the CAO, Supervisor Howard and constituents regarding watercraft use on South Beach, attended the Tri-Agency meeting, attended the Harbor 2x2, attended the Memorial Day Services Ceremony, attended the BCRAA meeting, attended the Natural Resources Goal Committee meeting, participated in the Cannabis Workshop and went to Washington DC to advocate concerns within Del Norte County.
Supervisor Berkowitz: Supervisor Berkowitz requested to place an item on the June 27, 2017 Agenda: Approve and appoint Supervisor Berkowitz to the Federal Lands Policy Committee of NACO. He attended a Klamath Chamber of Commerce mixer, attended the Harbor 2x2, attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting, attended the Memorial Day Services Ceremony, attended a viewing of the new water tank in Hiouchi by the Big Rock Community District Manager, attended a pancake breakfast at the Fairgrounds, attended the Del Norte Community Health Fair and participated in the Cannabis Workshop.
